When My good friend Daniel Adolf - professor at the Laguna College of Art and Design - said he was putting together a 'Drink & Draw' I said "But I don't drink!" Daniel replied "Its not about drinking, its about drawing". I was pleased to hear this. Considering I don't drink, and haven't had a drink for over 6 years. However thats not the point I'm trying to make here.
Drawing for most of the time is a time spent usually alone, and not with others. To be an artist is to be alone, typically. Times are changing fast, and it can be for the better sometimes. "Drink & Draw' is about building connections, community, friendships, and kick-ass drawings with people you know, or complete strangers.
If you love to draw, and you want to connect or, just sit next to people of kindred spirit, come to the "Drink & Draw" at the Unsung Brewery in Anaheim - just next door to the packing house.
Some drawings supplies are provided.
