First of all, I want to give a bit shout out to the Teravarna Gallery for accepting my two paintings to be shown during one of californias biggest fine art exhibitions. I’ve dreamed of sharing my work here for years, and now it’s finally happened!

The LAartshow is held at the Los Angeles convention center, which stands at 180,000 square feet! Galleries from all over the world come to represent artists from every walk of life. It’s a privilege and an honor to represent the gallery at this prestigious exhibit!

Two original paintings were selected that were partly experimental and I used almost everything but the kitchen sink to render these works of art to life. The mediums I used were: pencil, charcoal, ink, acrylic paint and spray paint on illustration board.
I’d like to share a little more information about each piece with you here. In order to learn more about the depth and meaning, I think it’s important to dive into the details beneath the surface.
The first of the two paintings is titled “Fearless” it represents the female shaman who is bound by past, present and future dragons while adorned with a skull to commemorate the resurrection from life after death. The light and the dark are one with her, while she is balanced in harmony between good and evil.

Mixed medium on illustration board 18” x 24”
The second is titled “Unbound Hunters” I wanted to explore a relationship between the realm of the spiritual and the physical plain. The tiger represents our material bound selves, and the falcon holding the key shares the inner wisdom of the spirit. “Never forget who you are, and where you came from” says the falcon while glimmering the lost key of knowledge in front of the tigers gaze.

I’m excited to dive into more mixed medium art because it’s very different from my typical oil, acrylic and gouache paintings that I do. Overall the experience at the LA Artshow was a wonderful one. I’m so thankful to the Teravarna Gallery for displaying two paintings that I felt very proud to show at such a prestigious event.
